CEECAT Capital completes the sale of Hermann Müller Medizintechnik ("HMM") to STERIS

CEECAT Capital today announced the completion of the sale of its portfolio company Hermann Müller Medizintechnik ("HMM"), a leading specialist manufacturer of sterilization container systems and surgical devices, to STERIS Plc (NYSE: STE). The transaction was signed on August 17, 2026 and has now closed after customary closing conditions, including applicable regulatory approvals.

CEECAT Capital first invested in HMM in June 2021, partnering with founder Mehmet Aygün to unlock the company’s global potential. Under the leadership of CEO Benjamin Mietz, and with CEECAT Capital’s active support, HMM has grown into a Tuttlingen-headquartered medtech platform, pairing German leadership, knowledge and brand with a highly efficient manufacturing base in Turkey. Through targeted investments in commercial expansion, operations and regulatory capabilities, HMM secured FDA clearance, launched a Made-in-Germany assembly line for its surgical motor systems, and broadened its reach worldwide, more than tripling revenues while significantly strengthening profitability. Today, HMM serves customers in more than 90 countries.
